Meadowview Christian (1-4) couldn’t keep up with Cahawba Christian Friday night in a 73-26 loss in Centreville.

Trojans quarterback Jeremy Lee totaled 178 total yards and had a rushing touchdown and passing touchdown and Zach Duke added another touchdown, but Meadowview needed much more offensively Friday.

“They had seniors on their team and of course, we don’t have any,” said Meadowview coach Lebo Jones. “They are a good ball club, real strong team.”

Lee totaled 8.5 tackles defensively and also had an interception. Mason Kendrick had five tackles, including one tackle for loss. The Trojans will play at Victory Christain next week at 7 p.m.

That game will be Meadowview’s fifth straight road game. Jones said the road trips are wearing on his team.

“We are just ready to get back home and play a game,” Jones said. “We haven’t played one [at home] in so long.”
