All in Sports Outreach and the city of Selma’s Park and Recreation Department are teaming up to offer a free baseball camp to boys ages 7-12 years old.

The camp will be held Oct. 15 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Dallas County Sportsplex.

Gerald Barron, the city’s baseball director, said players from Concordia College Alabama and Selma University will be assisting with the camp.

The baseball camp will focus on the fundamentals of the game, such as hitting, throwing, running and fielding.

“I think if you teach the fundamentals of baseball that’s definitely a foundation they can build on,” Barron said.

This will be the second straight year that the recreation department and All in Sports have partnered for the camp.
