The Rev. Lee Ernest Goodwin, age 79, a resident of Selma, passed away on Friday, Oct. 21, 2016, at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016, at noon from Second Missionary Baptist Church with pastor Darryl Moore officiating. Interment will be held at New Live Oak Cemetery. He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife, Mrs. Ivory Goodwin; one son, Lee Ernest Goodwin Jr.; two brothers, Sinnie Blocton and Frank Blocton; and two sisters, Minnie Albritton and Rosa Rawls. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie J. Goodwin and David Blocton. The body will lie in state from 11 a.m. to noon with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.
