Mr. John Thrash, 72, of Selma, passed away Oct. 27, 2016, in Selma. Services are scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Calvary with the Rev. Marshall officiating.

Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery with Randall Miller Funeral Service directing. He is survived by his spouse, Frances Thrash; three sons, Maurice (Chinita) Thrash, Jerel (LaTonia) Thrash and John (Amy) Thrash; one daughter, Jacinta (Dexter) Thrash-Bright; two brothers, Peter (Katie) Thrash and Paul (Thelma) Thrash; six sisters, Doris (Brooks) Cook, Vivian Thrash, Alice Jones, Sandra (John) McCampbell, Laura (Marvin) McDowell and Eunice (Eric) Reese; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
