Mr. Clear Griffin, 78, of Perry County, passed away Nov. 18, 2016, at Hospice of West Alabama.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Marion with the Rev. Johnnie Tillis officiating.

Burial will follow in Old Oak Grove Cemetery in Sprott with Randall Miller Funeral Service directing.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Bessie E. (Webb) Griffin; parents, Johnnie and Amanda (Ford) Griffin; and son, Duane Clear Griffin.

He is survived by his daughter, Melanie Clarissa (Griffin) Pugh; son-in-law, Gregory F. Pugh; grandchildren, Evan M. Pugh, Eian D. Pugh, James A. Welch Jr. Charmagne Welch, Ileah Welch and Stephanie Welch; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
