Mr. Joe Peasant, 69, of Selma, passed away Nov. 24, 2016, in Selma.

Services are scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church in Tyler with the Rev. Jimmy Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Ararat Cemetery in Tyler with Randall Miller Funeral Service directing.

He is survived by his wife, Rosie Peasant; son, Joe Peasant Jr.; two daughters, Annette Peasant and Annie (Ollie) Blevins; six brothers, Steve (Mable) Peasant, Ray (Lenora) Peasant, David Peasant, Wilson (Thelma) Peasant, Dennis (Essie) Peasant, and Edward Peasant; two sisters, Clara Peasant and Ida Peasant; aunt, Alana Chandler; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
