Score Roundup: Selma girls improve to 9-1 on the season

Selma 66, Chilton County 43 (Girls)
Aaliyah Hatcher scored 13 points to lead four Selma players in double figures during Tuesday night’s 66-43 win over Chilton County.
Areyana Williams scored 12 points, Kynadra Lewis had 11 points and Jacquetta Dailey also had 11.
Jamya Smith scored 8 for the Saints (9-1). The win also Selma to 1-0 in area play.
Chilton County 59, Selma 54 (Boys)
Selma led by 10 points at the half but only mustered two points in the third quarter in a 59-54 loss to Chilton County on Tuesday night. Jeffery Huff Jr. scored 19 points and JerrYone Patterson had 11. Selma (6-3, 0-1) hosts Southside Friday night.
Dallas County 59, Maplesville 49 (Boys)
Tay Palmer scored 13 points and made four 3-pointers as Dallas County topped Maplesville Tuesday night. The Hornets are now 1-0 in class 5A, area 6 and 5-2 on the season.
Ladarius Furlow had 11 points for Dallas County. Nine different players scored for the Hornets.
Ellwood Christian 61, A.L. Johnson 60 (Boys)
For the second time this year, Ellwood Christian has defeated A.L. Johnson. Chris Lee scored 17 points and had 10 rebounds in Ellwood’s 61-60 win Tuesday night.
Justin Bufford also had 15 points, Markesis McMillan had 13 and Mel Phillips scored 11.
Ellwood will play Linden Tuesday in its next game.
