Mrs. Mattie “Sister” L. McElroy, 88, of Orrville passed away Dec. 14, 2016, at Vaughan Regional Hospital. Services are scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 24, 2016 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church with pastor Curtis Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Randall Miller Funeral Service directing.

She is survived by her son, George Edwards; four daughters, Ethel Rayford, Estelle Thomas, Emma Smith and Maggie (Alphonso) Lumpkin; five brothers, Ezekiel Moore, Andrew (Liz) Bates, Theodore (Shirley) Bates, Charles (Betty) Bates and Lemuel (Easter) Bates; four sisters, Laura Bates, Erma Pruitt, Amanda Todd, and Bertha Grady; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and host of nieces and nephews.
