Melissa Ann Smith Holliday, a resident of Mobile, passed away peacefully in her home on Jan. 13, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, the Rev. Napoleon “N.P.” Sr., and Dollie Smith.

She leaves to cherish her in memory two children, Dawneese (Allen) Bowen, Montgomery, and Tyrone “Hope” Holliday, Atlanta; and three grandchildren Jalyn, Aaron and Allison Bowen, Montgomery.

The visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, from 9-10 a.m. Celebration of life hour will be at Philadelphia Baptist Church. Her pastor, the Rev. Forrest Smith, presiding; and her son-in-law, the Rev. Allen Bowen, officiating minister. Interment will follow in the New Live Oak Cemetery in Selma.
