George B. Auburtin, 70, of Marion, passed away Jan. 14, 2017, at home.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Jan. 28, 2017, from St. Wilfreds Cemetery in Marion with the Rev. Dan Thorton officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. in the church.

George was born May 29, 1946, in Meridian, Mississippi to the late George B. and Mary Griffith Auburtin.

He is survived by his sons, Joel B. Auburtin (Mikelann) and George “Chip” Auburtin; grandchildren, Mary Wallace Auburtin and Miller Auburtin; and a special caregiver, Eliza Burroughs.
