YMCA program adds more mentors

The YMCA of Selma and Dallas County’s Reach and Rise mentorship program added five new mentors after recently forming a partnership with 100 Black Men of Selma Inc.
Children need positive role models in their lives, especially some of the ones that are referred to the program, and this is a great way to make an impact on those children’s lives.
The program has been looking for more mentors, so it is great to see more people in the community stepping up to the plate to share some time with young people that need it.
A child can never have enough positive influences in their lives, so the more mentors that join the program, the better.
While five new mentors is a great addition, and the 100 Black Men of Selma hope to add five more in the near future, we hope to see even more join the Reach and Rise program. Making an impact on a child’s life is well worth the time and effort it takes.
