Find magic tonight

Show organizers are calling on residents to help them pull off a bit of magic tonight. They’re asking for help in making any remaining tickets to tonight’s Spencers Theatre of Illusion show disappear.
The show, which will take place at Pickard Auditorium at 400 Washington St., will begin at 7 p.m., but Doris Holland, who is helping organize the show with the Selma Concert Association, said everyone should arrive early.
“He asked us to make sure everyone is in their seat at 7 p.m., he really emphasized that,” she said. “We are going to close the doors at that time because when he comes on stage it is a really big production that lasts the first 10 minutes of the show.”
The doors will reopen at 7:10 p.m.
Holland said late Thursday, there were still tickets left and that tickets would be available for purchase at the door.
“We still have a few tickets left and there should still be some the day of the event,” she said. “We’ll open the door at 5:30 p.m. so people will have plenty of time to get into their seats.”
Spencer and his wife Cindy are renowned in the United States and Europe for their performances and have won numerous awards.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students. For more information call Holland at 872-3387 or 875-9201.
