LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Selma has many reason to be thankful
Published 9:30 pm Wednesday, November 22, 2017
Dear Editor,
In this season of Thanksgiving, we have a myriad of reasons to be thankful for during this time.
We are often mired down in our problems that we do not thank the Lord enough for our divine blessings.
We will not acquire all we want, but God will provide all our needs and more if we are grateful with what he has provided.
The city of Selma has its share of problems like all cities. However, Selma is unique with citizens that continuously pray until something happens.
As president of the City Council I want to encourage you to give thanks every second of every hour of everyday.
Let’s enjoy Thursday with family, friends and the many blessings bestowed upon us.
I am thankful to be a servant to all the citizens of Selma. Let’s be thankful and count our blessings not our problems during this Thanksgiving season. I pray that we as a community remember Galatians 6:9: “Do not get tired of doing what is good. Don’t get discouraged and give up, for we will reap a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time.”
