A two-vehicle accident mid-afternoon Friday sent the driver of a Dodge mini-van to the hospital for observation.

The accident occurred near Craig Elementary on U.S. 80. Authorities said the driver of the mini-van ran into the back of a Head Start bus near the railroad tracks on U.S. Highway 80.

Don Willingham, administrative assistant at Dallas County Schools, said the driver was not seriously injured. The two children on the bus were not injured.
