Selma’s Purrrfect Pals and the Sky Hill Animal Society work tirelessly to get the cats and dogs of the Selma Animal Shelter adopted. Sky Hill Animal Society is an oasis for animals where the main objective is to partner with the local animal shelter, and prepare animals for adoption. Selma’s Purrrfect Pals works in conjunction with Sky Hill to find homes for local cats.
Selma’s Purrrfect Pals started after its Facebook page garnered the attention of people willing to adopt, foster and volunteer with the cats.
The organization has organized two rooms in the shelter to allow the cats to roam free, and not be kept in cages. Both rooms have climbing obstacles, a cat bed and pillows for the cats to enjoy.
The public can visit the cat rooms and play with the cats Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Selma Purrrfect Pals has both kittens and adult cats for adoption. All animals are spayed and neutered. Throughout the month of July, the adoption fee for adult cats is $20 and $25 for kittens. The organization is always taking donations to provide food and veterinary care to the sheltered animals.
The adoptable dogs are sent to the Sky Hill property to receive training, and roam freely at the property. Sky Hill provides several opportunities to adopt a fully vetted animal. After making an appointment with the organization, possible owners can visit the property and visit with the animals. There is a $100 dog adoption fee.
Without the help and donations of local citizens these organizations would not be able to support the animals.
