This event is just one of many that we have in store that we hope to be fun and engaging for everyone. Proceeds will benefit all Selma City Schools, and we invite everyone to sign up.”
Jill Burt, who is the 5K coordinator and the Adapted Physical Education Specialist and Lead Physical Education teacher for SCS.
“We are excited about the new things coming to the Selma City Schools this school year, and this event is a great way to bring us all together with continued motivation for the success of Team Selma,” Burt said.
Washington also said that Dr. Bill Potter donated much of his time and resources to the school system and also helped plan the event.
The cost for the 5K is $25 and $10 for the 1-mile fun run and walk.
