Two suspects were arrested Sunday for possession of drugs and endangering a child.
Shelton Andrews, 60, and Vicki Balouch, 52, were both arrested at 6:10 p.m. Sunday for unlawful possession of controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a child.
The two arrests were made by the Selma Police Department Special Operations Unit.
Andrews’ and Balouch’s bonds were set at $27,000 each. They remain in the Dallas County jail, Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson confirmed Wednesday.
Jackson is part of the Alabama Drug Enforcement Task Force. Their goal is to share resources and intelligence to break up drug operations throughout the state and fight violent crime.
“The gang crackdown is continuing across the Fourth Judicial District,” Jackson said. “The broom sweeping these criminals up will continue to get bigger.”
