A 21-year-old Selma man was shot once in the head on the 1300 block of Highland Avenue on Monday.

Trendarius Hill, 21, was shot around 1 p.m., according to Selma Police Chief Spencer Collier.

The Selma CID and Crime Scene units were both called out and quickly processed the shooting incident, Collier said.

Hill was airlifted to the University of South Alabama in Mobile.

Collier said the shooting does not appear to be random, nor a robbery at this point in the investigation.

Multiple Selma PD investigators were called out to assist with the crime.
