A Selma High School student was treated for minor non-life threatening injuries after being stabbed with a hair pick.
According to Selma City Schools Superintendent Dr. Avis Williams, the student was stabbed by another student.
Williams said the incident came from horse playing and that the school system’s initial investigation shows no malicious intent.
Williams said disciplinary action will be taken by the school system, but could not comment on whether any police charges would be filed.
Williams said there is no reason for alarm and that the incident was isolated with no malicious intent.
