Whether you are there for the rides, the food, the singing competition or the pageants, the Central Alabama Fair has been the good break people need.

After all the negative news that has happened in Selma lately, from shootings and other violence, it is a nice change to have something that almost takes our minds off of all the bad things going on around us.

With only two days left, we hope that everyone has taken advantage of having the fair in town, and that it has brought some joy in your life.

Over the years, the fair has been something that every small town has looked forward to.

We are no exception. For most of us, the fair brings back fond memories of rickety rides and food that is in no shape way or form a standard healthy diet, but that sure doesn’t stop us.

We encourage everyone to take a moment, go to the fair and to de-stress and not worry about the negative things going on in the town or in your own life.
