On Saturday, people gathered at The Sand Bar to prepare for a morning of running and community as they ran to raise money to keep our law enforcement and firefighters safe.

This event came after both public safety departments have experienced hardships with injured policemen and firefighters working with outdated equipment.

We are glad that the people that did participate did, and for a first event, the turnout was great.

The amount of partnership that went into this event was outstanding and the donations that were made was overwhelming.

This is what it looks like when a community comes together to support our own.

We need more events like this that supports those who support us everyday and keep us safe.
