On Monday, a crowd gathered at the Farmer’s Market pavilion in Bloch Park to honor those who have fought for our freedom.

They braved the rain storms that were coming in to listen to how Veterans Day was first introduced to the nation, and how our national anthem became our national anthem.

This is an event that is expected each year to remind us of why we have this time to celebrate.

We thank everyone who was part of producing this program, and we want to say thank you for reminding us of the true meaning and history of this holiday.
