Kingdom Authority Alabama is celebrating the opening of its new ministry with a weekend full of events, which started Friday night with a 6:30 p.m. service.

“A lot of manpower and working hours have gone into remodeling the new facility,” said Kingdom Authority Alabama’s Lead Pastor Angela Fincher. “Local contractors, volunteers and members have all worked very hard to beautify the new space.”

According to Fincher, the new ministry has been in the works for more than a decade and will build on efforts she established previously in other ministries.

Enrichment programs, such as family counseling, job training and workshops, will continue to be a cornerstone for the new operation, but Fincher is most excited about her ideas to reach out to young people throughout the community.

The new ministry will host Christian comedy nights, youth prayer marches and live concerts, as well as “intensive hands-on” mentorship, entrepreneurship training, life skills and programs for singles and married couples.

In conjunction with all of this, the ministry will offer “new and fresh ideas” in the continuation of its “Stop the Violence” campaign and continue its “worldwide ministry” through its Kingdom Talk television show set to be aired on FUSE next year.

“We will continue to enhance and advance our community of Selma,” Fincher said. “When people come to visit the new space, they can expect to not leave the same way they came in.”

On Saturday, the church will host pastor and leadership workshops throughout the day. Sunday’s service will begin at 11 a.m. with a dedication service to be held at 3 p.m.

The church is located at 802 Lauderdale Street. For more information, contact Fincher at kingdomtalkinc@yahoo.com.
