The Cahaba Foundation (TCF) took another step closer Friday to transferring the entire Old Cahawba state historic site into ownership of the Alabama Historical Commission (AHC).

These transfers have allowed the AHC to secure the land and to help preserve a very important part of our state’s history.

Dallas County has something to offer in the Old Cahawba state historic site.

It is something that we should work harder in helping to preserve.

The foundation has come a long way from owning the right of ways over the former streets.

We applaud the foundation for their hard work and we hope that their goal is met soon.
