For the first time this year, members of Greater Kingdom Citadel will be serving Thanksgiving meals to people in need throughout the community.

Church members will be at Sweet Advantages on Broad Street from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. People can come between those times to enjoy a meal at the ice cream shop or pick it up to take with them.

Further, church members will be delivering meals to those who are unable to stop by. If you need a meal delivered, call Sweet Advantages at 334-526-2697.

For the second year, the Selma Area Chapter of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority will be handing out free sack lunches to those in need.

The group will be set up beneath a tent on Broad Street across from Tabernacle Baptist Church from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The sorority urges people to arrive early, as there will be a limited number of lunches available.
