The Rhaglan Hospitality, LLC group is one step closer to purchasing the St. James Hotel.

The Selma City Council approved a resolution to extend the original agreement of the hotel to 60 days because of a title survey the Hilton Franchise, LLC requested on Nov. 13. The $10,000 survey will be done by the end of the month, and the extension runs into January.

In an effort to assist Rhaglan in renovating the historic hotel, the council passed two ordinances for the sale and lease of the Phoenix Park that will provide parking to the hotel.

This is big for Selma.

Rhaglan has done great work with other historic hotels in the state, and we should support them as they try and fix a now empty St. James Hotel.

Change is coming and it is in the form of this purchase.

This purchase is just the start to reviving this city.
