Flood warning canceled for the Alabama River

The flood warning for the Alabama River has been cancelled, according to Dallas County Emergency Management Agency Director Toya Stiles.
According to Stiles and the National Weather Service in Birmingham, the Alabama River has crested and the flood waters have started to recede. On Monday, a flood warning for the Alabama River was originally issued for Tuesday evening until Wednesday.
Stiles said no damages have been reported in Dallas County from the overflowing flood waters.
Stiles said the flood warning for the Cahaba River remains and it’s forecasted to fall below flood stage Wednesday.
The river levels have risen since the heavy rainfall and more rain is forecast through Friday.
