Mr. Henry Miller Poulsen

Mr. Henry Miller Poulsen, of Shreveport, LA, passed away January 17, 2011.

Mr. Poulsen was born Nov. 17, 1930 in Selma, Alabama to William Otto and Frances Miller Poulsen.

He was a 1948 graduate of Parrish High School, and a 1951 graduate of Alabama Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Industrial Management.

He retired from AT&T (formally Western Electric) with 42 years of service.

He is preceded in death by his parents William Otto and Frances Miller Poulsen, his brother LeGrand Poulsen and his wife, Genevieve.

Survivors include wife LaMuriel Jones Poulsen; children Ruth Poulsen of Warrenton, NC, Terry Knighten and husband Stewart, Vic Pepper and wife Intha, all of Shreveport, LA. Grandchildren Bridget Wardell and husband Andy of Wake Forest, NC, Michael Knighten and Jennifer Knighten of Shreveport, LA. Great-grandchildren Victoria and Lana Wardell, Braydon and Brieanna Barnes.

Special nephew John Poulsen and wife Karen of Cumming, GA. Special niece Lee Jones and husband Sidney of Gainesville, FL.

Henry made a gift to the medical community by donating his body to LSU Medical Center. Memorials may be made to your local Salvation Army.
