You can see by the examples in the story in today’s edition that these newly named Eagle Scouts are hard workers.
The five Morgan Academy students who earned Eagle Badges during a ceremony on Sunday, Jan. 6.
Each of these scouts’ projects was projects that benefited the public or groups in some way or another.
According to the website, Very Well Family, the requirements for the Eagle Scouts include earning 21 Merit Badges, serve a minimum of 16 months in a leadership, camp for a minimum of 24 nights, carry out their Eagle service project and have a minimum of seven Scoutmaster conferences and five boards of review.
The site also claims that only about 7 percent of all Boy Scouts earned their Eagle rank in 2013.
This honor will help with college admissions, allow them to be eligible for scholarships and make them more employable in the future.
They are an example to their peers and the rest of the community of hard work.
