“It’s a very important game for us,” Reeves said. “If we win, that puts us undefeated in area play. It’s also senior night, so emotions will be high.”

Southside entertains Prattville Christian Academy in a crucial Class 3A, Area 6 contest at Panthers’ Arena.

Morgan Academy travels to Success Unlimited with the area title at stake.

Francis Marion travels to Dallas County in a non-Area game. Hornets coach Cliff Nix anticipates a hard-fought contest.

“It’s going to be a tough match,” Nix said. “Playing teams throughout the Black Belt keeps you battle-tested and prepares you for the postseason. Francis Marion has a really good team. I keep stressing to my guys, if we stay united and play together, the sky is the limit for us.”

Although Frances Marion won the first two contests, Rams coach Woodie Jackson said the Hornets comes between two area contests. Jackson coached Selma High from 2008 until 2016

“Dallas County has a good team with a good nucleus,” Jackson said. “We will come down there ready to play.”
