The 20 storytellers on the weekend schedule include: Bruce Boynton and Betty Boynton, Lynda Lowery, Sheyann Webb Christburg, Joe Smitherman, Charles Mauldin, Hattie Givhan, Leroy Moten, Annie Pearl Avery, Albert Southall, Bobby Simmons, George Sallie, Ruthie Harris, Emory Harris and Charles Neblett, Freedom Singers, Willie “Mukasa” Ricks, Harry Shannon, Loretta Wimberly, Mae Richmond and Joanne Bland. Lowery and Christburg are authors.
Bridge Crossing Jubilee Festival Coordinator Sam Walker said participants will enjoy the long list of performers.
“This a powerful lineup of storytellers and music makers,” Walker said. “We have something for everybody. We can learn from the storytellers or just move to the music.”
