Another one of Selma’s most wanted “gunslingers” was recently arrested in Montgomery.
William Calhoun, AKA “Wee Earl,” was arrested March 22 in Montgomery on a Dallas Grand Jury warrant for several charges: attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, shooting into an occupied building and shooting into an unoccupied building.
According to Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson, Calhoun’s bond was set Monday at $5 million. Jackson also said Calhoun will have a future date in Circuit Court. Calhoun will not have a preliminary hearing because he has been indicted.
Calhoun is one of the co-defendants with Tyronn Stallworth, AKA Buck.
Jackson said Calhoun was transferred to the Dallas County Jail on March 22 by the Selma Police Department (SPD). He called Calhoun one of Selma’s “most wanted gunslingers.”
SPD Chief Spencer Collier praised the department for the arrest of another dangerous suspect in the community.
“I am glad the latest indictment is served, but there are additional incidents that we know he is affiliated with,” Collier said. “Since the incarceration of both Stallworth brothers (Jaron and Tyron), Keelata Wilson and Calhoun, the GWC community is safer.”
