I have given up television.

If I want to watch something, I go to Hulu online when there’s time, and watch the program.

The radio has become my choice of information and entertainment, and that’s a good thing. It leaves me more time to read. So far, since January’s giving up of the television and the cable that goes with it, I’ve gone through 10 books.

Maybe not the kind of rapid reading you would do, but with a demanding work schedule and home chores, not bad for the old girl.

I’ve discovered journaling as I read and old authors, who once were close friends, and the sheer joy of the written word.

So, the experiment works and as long as it does and brings joy, it’s the thing to do.
