The American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA) recently announced that Dennis L. Davis, Licensed Nursing Home Administrator at Diversicare Park Place in Selma, is the recipient of the 2019 ACHCA New Administrator Award.

“This is a national award, so it’s a great honor to be nominated and to receive this award,” said Davis. “To be given this award speaks highly of Diversicare and Selma.”

Davis was recognized during the awards banquet at ACHCA’s Annual Convocation and Exposition in Louisville, Kentucky on March 18.

The New Administrator Award recognizes a member who has been a practicing administrator for five years or less and who has demonstrated exceptional commitment and potential as a leader, innovator, and motivator in long- term care and in the ACHCA.

Davis has participated in various programs to increase awareness of healthcare programs

and push the healthcare community forward.

Going forward, Davis wishes to continue Diversicare’s journey of excellence.

“We’re here to fulfill the needs of the community,” said Davis.

In 2018, the Alabama Alzheimer’s Association recognized Davis’s facility for developing programs involving memory care.
