A national official of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. visited the Selma Alumni Chapter last week.

Fraternity Grand Polemarch Thomas L. Battles addressed the group about the current state of affairs of Kappa Alpha Psi and its challenging dilemmas each local chapter must address.

During the meeting, Kappa Alpha member John Solomon discussed plans the Selma Alumni Chapter was making to celebrate 40 years of service in Selma and plans to recognize former Sen. Hank Sanders for being a 50-year member.

Kappa member Larry Vasser said the fraternity enjoyed the visit from Battles, who was also in the Queen City in his official duties for the U.S. Department of Justice.
