ECA sends off Class of 2019

The Ellwood Christian Academy (ECA) Class of 2019 walked into the gymnasium Thursday night ready to recieve their diplomas and begin the next chapter in their lives.
After a musical selection, invocation and a few opening remarks from Assistant Principal Adrian Lee, Salutatorian Christina Martin took to the podium to deliver the Salutatory address.
Martin delivered a heartfelt speech thanking her friends, instructors, family and God for her success as a student at ECA.
Before Martin handed the microphone over to Valedictorian Gabriel Crum she left her class mates with a few words of inspiration.
“I encourage you today to keep God first, always work hard, never quit and the end result will be success,” said Martin. “Congratulations calss of 2019, we did it.”
Crum delivered a speech filled with advice passed down to her from her father as well as words of assurance for the uncertain times that await the graduates.
“I guess the biggest thing we have learned at ECA,” said Crum, “Is to lean on our God and our faith and on others when needed.
Crum ended her speech by reciting the last stanza of Robert Frost’s Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening.
