This weekend, Selma will play host to big names in music as two soulful performances come to Selma High School.

“An Evening with the Cats” will be at Selma High School Auditorium on Saturday with doors opening at 6 p.m. and the concert beginning at 7 p.m.

Events like this are what keeps people coming to Selma to see performers like Alvin Garrett, Logan the Entertainer and “American Idol” season two winner Ruben Studdard.

What started as a Christmas season performance has now turned into something that can be enjoyed even out of the holiday season.

Between Garrett and Selma native Collins Pettaway, III, this will be a show that attendees will not forget.

Each entertainer will bring something different to the show.
