Dallas County Coroner Alan Daily confirmed Thursday afternoon that two people were killed in a wreck on Medical Center Parkway.

The identities of the deceased are still being withheld and the cause of the accident is still being investigated, according to Daily.

The accident occurred around 12:21 p.m. and Daily said the accident was a “head-on” collision involving a pick-up truck and another vehicle.

Daily said the pick-up truck driver had to be extricated from the vehicle and was transported to Vaughan Medical Center where he was pronounced dead after failed attempts at resuscitation.

The driver of the other vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene and also had to be extricated from the vehicle.

Daily added the pick-up truck was also carrying a passenger who also was transported to Vaughan for treatment.
