Safe Harbor Women’s Medical Clinic will be having its annual Charity Golf Tournament on Aug. 24 at the Valley Grande Golf Course.
Registration for the tournament starts at 8 a.m. on Aug. 24, with the shotgun start at 9 a.m.
All proceeds go toward Safe Harbor’s general budget. Funds raised will also help provide free ultrasounds, pregnancy testing, counseling, parenting education, baby items and support to families facing unplanned pregnancies.
“It helps our community by offering support, as well as taking the financial burden off of the city,” Safe Harbor Executive Director Jennifer Dobbs said.
Dobbs said the 2018 tournament had a low turnout, but is optimistic for a better showing this year.
“We are asking for all those who can, to come out and show their support for the most vulnerable of us all, the babies,” Dobbs said. “They need us to stand for them.”
The fee for tournament is $75 per person or $225 for a three-man team.
