“I signed a contract without setting foot on the Auburn campus, it was blind faith,” Greene said. “Everything I saw about Auburn was on the internet. The Auburn family did a great job capturing the essence of Auburn.”

Greene, 42, boasted Auburn’s historic run last year, in which the Tigers’ basketball program earned their first-ever trip to the Final Four, the baseball squad reached the College World Series and the football team won a Bowl game.  It was only the fourth time in NCAA that feat was accomplished. Greene also praised the other sports, including the women’s national champion Equestrian team, and the men and women’s golf team.

“When you have an environment that’s caring, you’ll find a way to overcome adversity,” Greene said. “When you have that, magicial things can happen. These things happen because of the culture we have at Auburn.  Auburn is more than just football. We’re an everything school. We do everything well at Auburn. My job as Athletic Director is to make sure our coaches and athletes have everything  they need to be successful.”
