Senators JV head coach Rick Williams coached several of the freshmen when they played on the Pee Wee squad. Williams said he enjoyed watching them mature over the years.

“It’s been awesome to watch these kids grow up,” Williams said. “I’m so proud of them. They worked so hard. I enjoyed coaching them.”

“It feels great to end our JV career undefeated,” Ingram said. “All of us worked so hard. I couldn’t have done it without my teammates.”

Creech scored the only touchdown against Lee-Scott and John Ingram added the two-point conversion. Quarterback/defensive back J.B. Clements made the game-clinching interception near midfield with 1:31 left to clinch the victory.

“We needed to come out against Lee-Scott, execute our offense and not make any mistakes,” Clements said.

Eighth-grade players are Moss Jones, Walter Gilmore, Milton Hand, Davis Fuller, Sam Garner and Spivey Massey. Whit Bowline, Ben Duran, Chase Brown, Jack Johnson, John King, Jake Sams and Barron Frazer are the seventh-grade players.

The Senators JV assistant coaches are Reid McMilion, Travis Wilson, James Roberts and Bryan Jones.

Lee-Scott Academy won the Pee Wee contest 6-0, scoring the game-winner with 17 seconds left in regulation.
