The Bow Wow Auction is something Wannabe Rescued works towards all year long and is a big part in allowing the animal rescue program to continue their work in Selma and Dallas County.
According to Wannabe Rescued Member Jenny Tolbert, the Bow Wow Auction is Wannabe Rescued’s Biggest fundraiser all year and a crucial for helping the volunteers in their mission of providing the homeless dogs and puppies of the Selma – Dallas County area with homes.
Tolbert said that the event is not only a way to help the animals, but also a good way to showcase local businesses and the products and services they offer.
All items up for bid at the auction were donated by local businesses, which is another important component of keeping the event local.
“They’re helping us and we’re helping them,” said Tolbert. “A lot of people think that they have to go to Montgomery or Prattville to do their shopping. Be we have lots of great businesses right here in Selma.”
We are thankful for everyone that was involved with the Bow Wow Auction and for the supportive relationship that local businesses have with each other.
Wannabe Rescued does a significant job in our community and it is something that is difficult and requires a lot of time to do.
They need all the support they can get.
