Tuscaloosa will be the site of the biggest college football game of the year.

Top-ranked LSU travels to No. 2 Alabama on Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium for national and SEC supremacy. Both teams enter the contest with unbeaten 8-0 records. The winner will likely win the SEC Western Division crown and a berth in next month’s SEC Championship Game.

Everyone wants to know about the ankle of Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who missed the Crimson Tide’s 48-7 win over Arkansas. Alabama coach Nick Saban said it will be a game-time decision whether Tagovailoa or Mac Jones gets the start.

SEC Nation and  ESPN’s award-winning pre-game show College Gameday will spend the weekend at the Capstone.

President Donald Trump is expected to attend the contest, according to The Associated Press.

The national media is calling the “Game of the Century Part II” began last week. Alabama and LSU took their usual open date during the first weekend of November.

As I watched several games last weekend, the commentators openly discussed the highly-anticipated Alabama-LSU contest.

I was annoyed they interrupted the game they were broadcasting to chat Crimson Tide and LSU. The announcers occasionally ignored their games, which was disrespectful those teams. I muted the sound until the subject was changed.

ABC and ESPN both had two entertaining games on air: Auburn-Ole Miss and Memphis-SMU. Both contests came down to the wire, as Auburn and Memphis each pulled out last-minute victories.

I’m not watching any pre-game hype in the national media.

Every so-called “expert” has an opinion on how the game will be played out.  A lot of the viewpoint will be anti-Alabama because they’re tired of the Crimson Tide always being in title contention.

Outside the state of Alabama, everyone celebrated Clemson routing Alabama 44-16 to win the national championship last year in Santa Clara, California.

The players and coaches all will decide the game. The Crimson Tide Nation, LSU Nation, myself and the national media won’t figure into the outcome.

I don’t think the game will match the hype.  These games rarely do.
