Gas prices continue to rise

Average retail gasoline prices in the state have risen 12.4 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.41 per gallon on Sunday.
This compares with the national average, which increased 12.6 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.47 per gallon, according to the gasoline price website AlabamaGasPrices.com.
Including the change in gas prices in the state during the past week, prices Sunday were 74.4 center per gallon higher than the same day a year ago and are 42.9 centers per gallon higher than a month ago.
The national average has increased 36 cents per gallon during the last month and stands at 73.6 cents per gallon higher than this day a year ago.
