Morgan Academy celebrated Senior Night on Tuesday for its basketball players and cheerleaders.
Jeremy Lee turned the celebration into the best game of his career.
Lee scored 33 points as the Senators hammered Clarke Prep 63-32.
For Lee, a South Alabama baseball signee, it was just another game. He made seven three-pointers.
“It was just being able to play in front of my family and friends,” Lee said.
Morgan Academy coach Luke Hutcheson praised Lee’s performance to lead the Senators (12-6).
“It’s always good to see Jeremy Lee play like that,” Hutcheson said. “We’re hoping this is the start of a playoff run for us.”
The Senators turned a 13-9 first quarter lead into a 34-19 halftime lead. Chris Gardner added nine points.
The three other Senator seniors are Ethan Cargill, Richard Alan Waters and Ethan Cargill.
Clarke Prep girls 54, Morgan Academy 40: Grace Davis scored 29 points and 19 rebounds to lead Clarke Prep (16-5).
Kalee Jones led the Lady Senators with 14 points and eight rebounds. Sarah Thomas added 11 points.
Six Lady Senators’ seniors were honored: Kalee Jones, Caroline Thomas, Kenley Kauffman, Averee Adams, Mary Ashlyn Pearce and Abbie Bohannon.
