A Selma man died from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash Thursday evening at the intersection of Highway 80 and Dallas County Road 44.
Dallas County Coroner Alan Dailey confirmed Friday that Jacquez Fields of Selma died Thursday from injuries sustained in the accident. Fields was a 2015 graduate of Selma High School.
An Alabama Law Enforcement Agency spokesperson confirmed Fields was a passenger in a 2009 Nissan pickup truck driven by Mario Reuben of Selma. Reuben survived the accident and, along with Fields, was airlifted to a Birmingham hospital. Reuben’s condition is not known at this time. The crash took place at around 5 p.m. on the eastbound side of Highway 80 at mile marker 78.
According to ALEA, Reuben’s truck collided with John Pullen of Marberry. Pullen was driving a 2017 Freightliner truck.
