The Selma High School Athletic Department will have a Seafood Boil funraiser on Saturday from noon until 4 p.m.
Seafood Express is partnering with Selma High Athletics on a Citywide Seafood to help generate funds to operatate the sports departments.
Selma High’s baseball, softball and track seasons were cut short on March 13 when Gov. Kay Ivey ordered the closing of schools statewide K-12 and the AHSAA cancelling spring sports.
“The sport programs took a hard hit this year with the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Katasha Turner, Selma High Athletic Director, track coach and volleyball coach. “We want to sell out that we can be impactful and help kids out for the upcoming year.”
The Crab Boil is $35 and it has snowcrab, shrimp, potatoes, corn, sausages, eggs, garlic or cajun butter.
The Shrimp Boil is $30 and it has shrimp, potatoes, corn, sausages, eggs, garlic or cajun butter.
The Crawfish Boil is $20 and it has crawfish, potatoes, corn, sausages, eggs, garlic or cajun butter.
Turner said pre-orders are highly encouraged. Orders can be texted to 334-431-7219.
