Meadowview Christian advances; Keith High, Selma, DCHS eliminated

Three Dallas County High public school teams competed in the AHSAA Area Volleyball Tournaments this week.
Keith High was the only public school to reach the Sub-regional round. The Lady Bears were scheduled to play at Brantley, but they forfeited.
Selma High and Dallas County High School both were eliminated in their Area tournaments on Wednesday.
The Lady Saints were swept by host Sipsey Valley in three sets at the Area 5, Class 5A Tournament.
Host Montevallo swept the Lady Hornets in three sets at the Area 5, Class 4A tournament.
In AISA action, Meadowview Christian School lost to Autauga Academy in four sets on Thursday. MCS won 25-20, but fell 25-14 twice and 25-20.
MCS (8-10) faces Pickens Academy in the Regional tournament Tuesday at Heritage Academy.
Reagan Burton had 16 assists, a kill and block. Grace Redd added five kills and three digs. Avery Smith had three aces. Kaylee Chauncey added five aces, seven kills and a dig.
