Camden man killed in single vehicle crash

A Camden man was killed in a single vehicle crash in Wilcox County during the MLK holiday weekend.
According to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Kelvin Dewayne Montgomery, 42, was killed when the 2019 Chevrolet Camaro he was driving left the roadway and overturned around 8 p.m. Saturday night.
Montgomery, who was not using a seatbelt, was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Alabama 221, approximately one mile west of Camden city limits. Although the circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation, ALEA officials suspect that speed was a factor.
No other details are available as the accident remains under investigation by ALEA.
