Gospel Tabernacle and Sonlight Outreach took advantage of a bright sun and warm temperature to hold a drive-thru food giveaway on Wednesday at Bloch Park.
Members of the Selma Police Department, Dallas County Sheriff Office, Snow’s Cleaning Service owner LeMarkus A. Snow and former Concordia College soccer coach Winston Williams were among those who assisted Gospel Tabernacle Pastor John E. Grayson giving away 1,000 boxes to Selma and Dallas County residents.
A long line of vehicles began at the Selma Marina drove through the parking lot to pick up boxes that contained frozen chicken, vegetables, onions, yogurt, and assorted fruits.
“God has blessed me to give away food and feed families,” Grayson said.
Snow said it’s an honor to volunteer his time in the community.
